New smartbuy® Enhancements

On Wednesday 12th December new functionality was introduced to smartbuy® TRADE to enhance the raising of requisitions and the electronic Request for Quote tool, assisting in meeting your business requirements.

The enhancements made to the smartbuy® TRADE application are designed to provide a continued high levels of usability and decrease purchasing cycle-times for your organisation.

Two main enhancements implemented in this latest release will deliver:

Adding multiple service line items to a requisition

  • A new button has been added to the requisition screen in smartbuy® TRADE to simplify the process of adding multiple line items for services
  • The button is a plus ('+') icon. Simply click on the '+' button on the requisition screen in smartbuy® TRADE to make a copy of the previously added line item
  • The line item (service) will be duplicated and can then be edited to the users specifications

Easier access to your eRFQ loaded documents

  • A new folder category called 'eRFQ Attachments' has been created as the default folder for all attachments loaded to add to an electronic Request for Quote
  • If a user creates an eRFQ and needs to attach a document (for example, attaching a Position Description for a Quote for a Temporary Staff member), the file will automatically be stored under the new 'eRFQ Attachments' folder - making it easier for smartbuy® users to locate and add attachments to an eRFQ

These enhancements are now available in the smartbuy® TRADE online purchasing tool.

On Friday 19th October new functionality was introduced to smartbuy® to enhance your electronic Request for Quote and online purchasing, experience, assisting in meeting the business requirements of our clients.

The enhancements made to the smartbuy® TRADE application are designed to provide a continued high level of usability and decrease purchasing cycle-times for your organisation.

Three main enhancements implemented in this latest release will deliver:

  1. Services ordering enhancement:
    • When raising requisitions in smartbuy® TRADE for services (for example Temporary Staff or Facilities Management), service line items have now had a "Free Text" option included
    • This will allow buyers to tailer the information for the services required in the requisition before being sent to suppliers
  2. Alphabetical Sorting of Accessories
    • When purchasing a product that includes accessories which can be added to the product (for example, Computers, Audio Visual Equipment & Furniture), the list of accessories will now be sorted in an alphabetical order
    • This will make it easier for users to select and purchase accessories in smartbuy®
  3. eRFQ Document Attachment enhancement:
    • smartbuy® Users can now load up documents to their Agency Static site within smartbuy® directly from their local PC drive
    • This allows all users to then be able to attach their own specific document to an electronic Request for Quote, for example, users could load up a local Position Description when sending an eRFQ for Temporary Staff

These enhancements are now available in the smartbuy® TRADE online purchasing tool.

The smart approach to sourcing

To source and negotiate prices and communicate directly with suppliers, eBusiness Solutions are proud to introduce the latest solution to deliver faster, automated sourcing and purchasing. Electronic Request for Quote (eRFQ).

eRFQ is designed to deliver bulk purchasing capability for products and services and flexibility for smaller specific orders to purchasing staff, that are tailored to your organisations business requirements.

Buyers will be able to use eRFQ to select from over 150,000 SCCB products and services in smartbuy® TRADE and request quotes with special conditions.

All SCCB Suppliers on smartbuy®

All NSW State Contract Control Board Suppliers are now able to receive Purchase Orders through smartbuy® CNONECT. This means all NSW Government Agencies can now access and purchase from SCCB Government Contracts with ease and security through the smartbuy® TRADE solution.

Images on smartbuy® TRADE

  • Over 14,000 images are now available to view on the smartbuy® TRADE site
  • eBusiness Solutions are constantly working with its large range of suppliers to bring images to all product lines displayed in smartbuy® TRADE. We invite you to search for any of these products and view the future of purchasing through smartbuy® TRADE.
